These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement governed under applicable laws of the State of Illinois and other relevant jurisdictions within the United States.
1. Scope of Agreement
These Terms govern all access to and use of our Site, services, estimates, contracts, promotions, and communications, including interactions made online, by phone, or in person. Your use of our Site or engagement with our services confirms your agreement to be bound by these Terms.
2. Estimates and Quotes
All estimates provided, whether through the Site or by other means, are non-binding until formally accepted in writing. We reserve the right to modify or withdraw any estimate prior to acceptance. Estimates are based on visual inspection and assumed conditions; Taurus Roofing may adjust pricing or scope if unforeseen or concealed conditions are discovered once the project begins.
3. Payment Terms
By accepting our services, the Client agrees to pay all invoiced amounts for:
Labor
Materials
Subcontracted work
Permits (if applicable)
We accept payment via credit card, check, or through approved financing partners. Payment schedules are detailed in the written agreement and must be followed to avoid delays, fees, or legal action.
4. Warranties & Limitations
Taurus Roofing does not offer any express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Any warranties on materials or products are those of third-party manufacturers or suppliers and must be pursued directly through them.
5. Use of Subcontractors
We may, at our sole discretion, engage independent subcontractors to perform portions of the work. These subcontractors operate under the supervision and coordination of Taurus Roofing and do not require separate client approval.
6. Project Timelines & Delays
All project timelines are estimates only and are subject to delay due to:
Weather
Material shortages
Labor shortages
Permit delays
Unforeseen structural issues
The Client acknowledges that Taurus Roofing will not be liable for delays or for any consequential, incidental, indirect, punitive, or special damages including loss of time, loss of use, or lost revenue.
7. Existing Conditions Disclaimer
We are not responsible for pre-existing issues such as:
Rot
Mold
Framing failure
Code violations
Nor are we liable for any damage that results from uncovering or correcting such conditions during work.
8. Right to Cancel (Illinois Law)
In compliance with Illinois law, any contract signed due to a door-to-door or in-home solicitation may be canceled by the Client within three (3) business days of signing. Cancellation must be made in writing and delivered to the Company via email or the address listed in the contract.
After this period, the Client remains liable for:
All work performed
Materials ordered
A reasonable fee for labor and mobilization
Any applicable cancellation fees
9. Company's Right to Cancel or Reschedule
Taurus Roofing reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any project due to:
Inclement weather
Safety concerns
Non-payment
Site inaccessibility or other adverse conditions
Failure to make timely payments may result in collection actions or lien filings as allowed by law.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Site—including images, text, graphics, logos, and digital assets—is the exclusive intellectual property of Taurus Roofing. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited and constitutes a violation of copyright and trademark law.
11. Indemnification Clause
You agree to hold harmless and indemnify Taurus Roofing and its owners, employees, subcontractors, agents, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
Misuse of the Site
Breach of these Terms
Negligence
Failure to disclose existing property conditions
Misinformation provided to the Company
12. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
All disputes arising out of or relating to services or contracts with Taurus Roofing will be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law rules.
Parties agree to resolve disputes in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
13. Incorporation of Privacy Policy
These Terms & Conditions incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy, which governs how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.
14. Amendments and Updates
Taurus Roofing reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our Site or services following any update constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised terms.
